What I’ve found is that if you’re out there dating superficial women—or even just dating in general—a woman will leave you for a better offer if you’re not providing a deep connection.
If you’re not someone she can connect with deeply and emotionally—which has nothing to do with wealth or status or power—if she can’t become emotionally invested in you—it will become about how you look, how much fun the other person is, or how popular they are.
Just like a guy: if he’s got two girls to choose from, and they’re both airheads he can’t connect with, he’ll choose the hotter one.
But if the slightly less attractive one is far more kind, creates a sense of peace in him, pleases him sexually, and shares common values—if she surprises him with the strength of her belief system—then he’ll stick with her.
I’ve seen many dating gurus, many ex–pickup artists who used to train others, end up settling down with women who are objectively less attractive than the ones they used to date—because these other women brought more to the table emotionally than the others ever did.
It becomes a kind of trump card—a veto against all the other surface-level factors.
