For a greedy banker to steal your money first he needs you to be needy for money. Otherwise, he doesn’t get paid. For a corrupt politician to get into power he needs you to be afraid of taking responsibility for your own life and want someone else to do it for you. Otherwise he doesn’t get a vote. For a corporate giant like Starbucks to stay in business they need you to be scared of trying a boutique café and need to go with something that’s familiar all the time. Otherwise everyone realizes that their coffee is actually crap. Self-confidence is the problem that causes all the other problems or should I say the lack of self-confidence.
