When you’re a people pleaser it can be really hard to do things for yourself. You often feel driven to do things that only benefit other people, or at least also benefit other people. Now there’s actually a way to exploit this weakness. Your children. Even your imagined children. You can ask yourself what would be best for them? What kind of modeling would be best to provoke them into behaving the way that will be best for their future? And in this way, not only will you do what’s best for somebody else, But it’s usually, what’s also aligned with your integrity.
