When you study the psychology of confident people, you’ll notice that they really fixate on behaviour.
Thoughts and feelings play a role, but it ultimately comes down to what you do.
If you want to be proud of yourself, you’ve got to give yourself something to be proud of. If you want to say to yourself, “I’m responsible, courageous, and honest,” that’s all going to be measured by your behaviour, not your thoughts and feelings.
Your life’s quality is determined far more by what you do than by what you think and feel. Those things do play a role, but if you focus on getting your behaviour right, you’ve already done most of the work.
Too many people live inside their heads, trapped in an imaginary world.
They measure what didn’t happen, fantasize about what can’t happen, and treat their thoughts as commands or truths.
They treat their feelings as feedback, but really, they should be asking:
What did I just do? Does that align with my core values?
That’s all that really matters.
One question you can ask yourself—and it’s the best question I’ve ever found in my life—is: What would a confident person do right now?
Ask yourself that question over and over, multiple times per day, and try to answer it with your behaviour.
That’s how you build confidence.

You don’t even need to worry about the future; get today’s behaviour right and the future takes care of itself
Love that question – works for me!
